He's been described as a sweet, fun-loving, and sensitive young man who brough out the best in people. John Doucette, 19 of Logan, drowned Wednesday while swimming with friends at Tony Grove Lake.

The son of Bill and Susan Doucette, John is survived by his older brother, Paul, and his two dogs, Ringo and Powder.

A visitation will be held at the Allen Hall Mortuary on Sunday from 3 to 4:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service. A casual reception for family and friends will celebrate John's life after the service and it will be held at 1801 N. 1700 East in North Logan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in John's name to the Cache County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue or the Bear Lake Diving Team.

On Tuesday, the Rich County Sheriff's Office --  in Utah -- said a 14-year-old Oregon girl drowned in Bear Lake.

Deputies say just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, they were dispatched to a possible missing person in the water near Ideal Beach in Garden City.

Mallory Parson, of Tigard, Oregon, was reportedly swimming near an inflatable raft with family members when she went under the water.

Deputies say cousins of the missing swimmer told other swimmers and people on the beach, who in turn called 911.

The Rich County Sheriff's Office, Utah State Parks, Rich County Search and Rescue, Bear Lake Dive Team and Rich County Ambulance EMTs responded.
